We were buying a cheaper cat food and supplementing with hairball treats. Not all for cats would eat the treats after while and they were $15 per bag. The price just wasn't adding up for the hassle. We did use the gel for a bit, but one of the cats is skittish and we didn't want to make that worse by pouring the gel on him. We came across this pretty good at a feed store originally and decided to try it. It solved the problem of supplementing the cats' diet with something to treat hairballs. All four cats gladly eat this and it does reduce hairballs at least as well as the hairball treats. It's cheaper than the other food plus supplements and less hassle. I like being able to order it as it's a big bag and the local store doesn't carry this size. The feed store is in the next state and it's more expensive there anyway. So, we will continue buying this for the foreseeable future. Excellent product.
