Very efficient and easy to install. Buy Nylog!
This unit works really well even on some really hot days in the 100's. The ECO mode works great for maintaining the temperature after the room has been cooled, so far it hasn't been particularly expensive to run, I use it in my bedroom at night so I can't speak for the effectiveness in a large room, but for a bedroom this the cheapest and most efficient way to keep the room comfortable in the summer. I haven't tried out the heater yet, but that'll be in an update in the future. The unit is very quiet, you can barely tell it's on, the mute setting is probably not the most efficient setting but it does keep the room around 3 degrees of the set temperature late at night and it doesn't make the room drafty. The only qualm with this unit is the blower doesn't shut off after the set temperature is reached and it sometimes gets a lot colder than the set temperature, I had it set to 65 and it got down to 51 one night, I don't know why that happened, but on the ECO mode it seems to stay within the set temperature range until I turn it off. The app works great and is very easy to use, there's a setting to purify the air and it seems to work, although there's some debate on the potential dangers of being in an enclosed room while it's set, due to some ozone being produced. There's also some timer settings and a sleep mode that allows for the temperature to be gradually changed throughout the night until it turns off. The unit was very easy to install, the hardest part is making a hole in the wall and bending the lines, everything is very basic. You will need some extra things to install it. I bought a whip to run power to the main unit directly from the breaker box and a pull out disconnect. I used a vacuum pump to vacuum out the lines and check for leaks, I used Nylog on the fittings, I highly recommend it, I had no leaks whatsoever, overall it's very easy to install and can be done in 2-3 hours depending on what your walls are made of and the distance you have to run the lines.

Great product at a great price, and installation is not too bad for a DIYer!
Received this a few days ago. I live in an old mobile home, and, the walls are super thin, the insulation is virtually non-existent, gaps around all the windows, etc. We currently have three window a/c units in a less than 1000 sq. ft. trailer. The furnace was stolen before we bought it, and was not easy to replace. We figured out a work-around, and it has sufficed, but, the duct work throughout is damaged or collapsed in many places, and is not easy to access. Our power bill has been extremely high due to these circumstances. So, we started looking into the mini-splits. They were much more expensive just a few years ago. We thought we would start with one in our kitchen/living room area to see how well it worked. My husband just finished installing it yesterday, the only holdup being a part we needed to order that was compatible with the mini-split and the vacuum pump that is needed to evacuate the lines once installed. Installation was fairly straightforward, and my husband was able to do it himself. Once he was finished, we turned it in to test the system, and the difference was immediately noticeable. The unit is so quiet, and it cooled those two large rooms very quickly when the outside temperature was about 85 degrees, and I had all the curtains open, plus grandkids running in and out the door. We are definitely going to purchase another unit for the back of the trailer, and are really looking forward to seeing the savings on our energy bill. So far, extremely happy with this unit.

Do not buy this brand
Do not buy this brand, YITAHONE. I purchased and installed the unit, and it was defective. I called tech support, but first, I spent so much time trying to reach someone to talk to. Second, I finally spoke to someone who claimed to be tech support personnel and explained the problem. The problem was as follows: I set the temperature of the AC to, let's say, 70°F; once the unit satisfies the set temperature, it should stop running, but it does not. It keeps running until I shut it off manually, and the heating mode does the same. The tech personnel said this unit was designed to do that. If it was designed to do so, why set the temperature? There should just be an on/off switch. Can anyone believe this?

Wish I could give it 10 stars
This is going to be long so TL;DR this thing keeps my 1150 sq ft house comfortable in the summer. We added a bedroom on to our house and decided to put this in it with the hopes that it would keep that bedroom, an adjoining bathroom, and next door bedroom comfortable. This thing is a BEAST. The way my home is laid out, it is a straight line from this unit to the other one (a different brand) across the house in my living room. I rarely even have to use the other one in the main part of our house because this one keeps the entire house cool. 1150 square feet. I keep it set on 68 and my living room on the other side of the house stays a comfortable 70. Ive attached photos of the clock temp in my living room as well as the current weather reading outside. I want to be clear, this is due in part to the layout of my home. Its very open, the unit is set so it can blow straight through the entire home and we leave all the bedroom and bathroom doors open when they are not occupied. The bedroom where the unit is located probably stays in the low 60s! It is my teenage son's bedroom so he loves it being that cool. You can see in the image the room where this unit is. This room is the addition. The bathroom and next door bedroom were already there, and the main unit (which is twice the size at 24k BTU) on the right side of the house could not keep those two rooms comfortable. I had to run a space heater in both of those rooms over the winter and they were miserable in the summer. I would be sweating my ass off doing laundry or anything else in that bathroom. I bought this unit in March, its now July, we live in the south and it has been a scorching summer. We're at 4 weeks now of upper 80s-90+ temps, heat index upper 90s and low 100s. My home has seriously never been so comfortable. I will come back this winter with an update of how it handles the cold. As for installation, it was very easy, HOWEVER, this is not the first mini split we have installed ourselves. We borrowed a friends vacuum pump and had it fully hooked up in maybe 6 hours, with 2 or so of that just running the vacuum. It went very smoothly. I don't have an Alexa so I cant speak to the wifi/Bluetooth aspect. Its very quiet and the remote makes it super easy to adjust. As for efficiency, I would say its what I would expect? We are a family of 5, so there is a lot of laundry and hot water usage to account for. Ive attached the last weeks electric readings. We have another small unattached room/office that has a window unit that runs maybe 8 hours a day. I really don't know how much of the total electricity is used by that one window unit, maybe $1 a day? So I would say we average about $6 per day without the window unit, and it is always more in the winter. I prepay for our elec and pay $250 each month all year. It averages out to use less than that spring thru fall and more in winter. I took the time to leave this long review because I am so thoroughly impressed with this unit. If my other one ever goes out I will definitely be replacing it with this brand.

Works good
This is our first large AC unit so we did not have repair tools. The large tubbe is 16mm which is NOT compatible with 5/8" flairing tools. The tube was cheap and brittle so of course it collapsed when bending it. We did the repair with a flaring kit bought here which contained both metric and standard (16mm and 5/8"). Once installed, the wire round connectors had to be sliced open because the connection screws are not removable. The it is finally all done, vacuum down for 1 hour and held solid at 29 lbs (?) of vacuum for one hour. Plugged in and kept powered up but NOT running to allow the little heater to fully warm it so the ac will last as long as possible. Once running, blows well but the inner swing does not move. It is available on the remote but apparently some are manual and some are electrically controlled. I am unclear how ours is as the remote implies it is not working correctly. It has been 18 hours and we are still in a cool home. So 4 stars but I considered 3. FYI. Good luck and hopefully you, too will enjoy the end product.

Awesome!!!!!
Okay so I think most of us start off as skeptical of how affordable these are as to the quality, but I have to say this is the best purchase I’ve made in years! It came a day early and I put it in the same evening. Took around 4 hours to install but I’m no expert so it may take others less. I made an adapter plate out of plywood to put the head unit further down on my window, and I also put a 20amp 110 plug on the end. Works great with a 20amp dedicated breaker. You’ll need the vacuum out the lines with the pumps you see on here, I used the one that was $130 and it worked great. After you tighten the lines and hook up the hoses, make sure to keep the Allen screws in, vaccine the lines for 15 mins, and then turn the low side pressure knob off. If it rises back up there’s a leak, if not after 5 mins you’re all good! And you can open up the Allen screws. Again novice here but this was super easy and I’m very impressed with how well it cools, waiting on the heat as of now, just cause it’s summer.

Easy Installation - Great Value
Very pleased with this minisplit. It was super easy to install. I did buy a Vevor pump and some long plastic rods to insert into the copper pipes to faciilitate bending without breaking. We installed this in a 14x24 sales shed with R13 insulation in the walls and roof and ran it off a 3,000 watt super quiet generator (to which we had attached all the lighting, wifi, computers, tv, coffee machine and small drinks regrigerator) and had zero problems. It kept the temperature very stable despite the constant entry and exit of customers all day long. Made the whole shed very comfortable, which, in middle Tennessee in the middle of summer is not that easy.

It’s actually not that bad…
PROS: The unit does run extremely quiet, I wasn’t sure it was even working when I first turned it on except for the fact I was much cooler. Imagine a box fan on low, that is what the outdoor unit sounds like, you absolutely cannot hear the compressor run except if on heat mode but even then it’s negligible. On heat mode the outdoor unit is still much quitter than a window unit, space heater, and especially a whole home unit. The indoor unit sounds like a register would in a home with central air, very quiet on all fan speeds. The fan moves a lot of air for being so quiet, very impressed. When switching from cooling to heat the outdoor unit will stop momentarily to activate the reversing valve which is absolutely what you want to happen. It may seem like its not working at first but a crucial part of activating the reversing valve is to stop the compressor so it doesn’t get damaged, it only takes 3 minutes and is worth it for the longevity of the unit. The indoor unit also comes with a large washable filter for ease of maintenance and longer intervals between washes. The remote has a built in thermometer and you can choose to use the remotes thermometer via the “iFeel” button instead of the units so that you can be sure you are feeling the desired temperature at your location. (If and when) you get the app connected , you can change the temperature, operation mode, fan speed, and other settings. The app communicates with the unit quickly and works great (once connected, if you can get it connected that is).. The unit doesn’t leak, as it shouldn’t if you know what you’re doing (duh). CONS: Product comes with very vague instructions and the app used for controlling the product is very buggy. It took 20 tries to connect the app and air conditioner together, it seems you will have a better chance of connecting if you select “AP Mode” in the top right corner when going through the connection process. You WILL need prior knowledge of installing systems to install this correctly, as stated the instructions are a useless copy/paste probably included with hundreds of other cheap systems. The auto mode is non adjustable, 77 degrees fahrenheit for ac or 68 degrees fahrenheit for heat, THATS IT, THEY CANNOT BE ADJUSTED! You can use heat and A/C separately and adjust them down to 60 degrees fahrenheit for cooling or up to 90 degrees fahrenheit for heating. I personally would not be comfortable in 77 degrees. I understand there needs to be a gap between heating and cooling in auto mode to prevent short cycling but 9 degrees is far to wide a variance with no way to adjust means auto mode is useless and shouldn’t have even been included. They could have easily implemented a slider into the app that would still allow for a slight variance between the two modes while still allowing users to set their own desired temperature in auto mode. The design of the indoor unit is cheap, while it seems to have quality components (although I can’t say for sure as there’s absolutely no information on who actually manufactured this unit) the plastic shroud is a matte white plastic that traps in absolutely everything. Do not touch the indoor unit’s plastic shroud with dirty work hands or it will stain and theres no getting it out. The company “YitaHome” is just a distributor, they do not manufacture these units (I suspect they’re Gree units) so there’s virtually no customer service, I wasn’t actually able to find a way to talk to a real person. In the help center on the app it is just endless redirects to FAQ. Overall If I had a few hundred extra bucks, I would go with a Senville unit BUT for the money I think this unit is still worth it. I’m using this YitaHome unit in my garage and spent the extra money on the Senville for my home. Both are cheap rebranded mini split systems but Senville has been in business much longer, offers solid warranties and actually has customer service. Not to mention Senville units are verified Midea which means you can use Midea wifi controllers instead of the infuriating wifi module that comes with this unit.
