This is a well designed and sturdy cat carrier. My 10 pound cat is very suspicious of carriers, but I left this one out and open for three weeks, and the other day, he just jumped in through the top and went to sleep for four hours. The bed is soft and comfortable with a washable cover and a rigid bottom plate that easily supports the cat’s weight and is also washable. There are several zippered openings, including a front door, and more importantly from my standpoint, the entire top opens with zippers, revealing a surprisingly large space inside. That was how my cat went in to take his nap, and how I put him in when the time came to go to the airport. All of the zippers can lock in place. Alaska Airlines barely glanced at the carrier and there were no questions about allowing it on the plane. The top can be pulled up an extra 3 inches or so to give the cat more headroom when not under the seat. The expandable top is easily pushed down to fit the airline’s height limitation.

Took both my cats (4kg and 5kg) on their first flight on United, in cabin. I was really anxious before having never done it. But I create trained them for a month and the travel went really well. I had no problems getting accepted on the flight. However, it was a tiny bit too big to fit under the seat comfortably! The bag itself is exactly the size it advertises (maximum size of carrier on United). HOWEVER, carriers that size don't fit fully on United planes! At least both the ones I was on. That said, if you put them lengthwise instead of trying to fit the whole thing under the seat, they sort of fit, sticking out into your shoes a bit. It wasn't a comfortable journey but the carrier itself is fantastic. It's sturdy and well made and I LOVE that it has a pop out top so my kitties had space to "stand and turn around" that the airline requires. The top really does add 3 inches to the carrier. Another thing I liked was the zippers have little clasps/clips that hold the carrier closed if you have a kitty that tries to open its own crate with a paw/claws. The zippers were smooth and the bag was sturdy and well made. Recommend!!

We had to move from Hawaii to the mainland and I knew it was going to be very stressful for my cat so I wanted to be sure to pick something super comfortable for her. This was it! She is 14lbs and fit very comfortably. It is easy to use, there was no smell and the quality is A+. There are lots of air vents, the strap length for carrying was perfect and comfortable to use. You are able to unzip the top to reach in and calm them as needed. It is the correct size to fly on United and Alaska under the seat. I highly recommend buying it early so they get used to being able to go in and don’t panic when it’s time to travel.

Perfect for flights that only accommodate small carriers. We rescue, foster, TNVR cats. Although we primarily foster and home kittens we recently were awarded a 12# fluff ball which is part Norwegian Forest cat and 100 percent fabulous. Because we have full time cats (failed fosters) we need to separate the foster from them until homed. That’s hard to do when you’ve got travel. None of our carriers would pass Allegiant’s size restrictions so I bought this hoping the cat would be comfortable enough. It’s perfect. Because the top pops up she had plenty of room to turn around and enough space to spread out. The only modification I made and would recommend is I added heavy duty Velcro to the base board/bed so it doesn’t shift around. I can still take the base out but it’s stable when handling the carrier.

I found my 13 pound Pom using his carrier to sleep inside of it, he likes it. We haven’t used it yet on the airlines but I got this one because of the reviews, the size is suppose to be accepted by the airlines and it fits my dog. As you can see from the pictures, he is laying on his side and there is room on top with the extension pulled up or down. The material seems strong and well made. I took off one star because when walking with him inside the carrier, it’s uncomfortable for me. The edges of the carrier are hard which protect him just clunky for me. I’m going to try and put the carrier on top of the rolling suitcase (if there’s a way) to help. Overall I recommend it as a dog house and as a protective carrier. For reference my dog is 13 pounds, 11 inches tall, 17 inches long.

My wife and I recently moved from Hawaii to Arizona. We flew on Alaska Airlines from Honolulu to Ontario, California with two in-cabin cats and then after we spent the night in a hotel, we drove to Arizona the next day in a rented SUV. We had no problems at all with Alaska Airlines accepting these pet carriers containing one cat each at check-in. We requested a private inspection at the TSA PreChek checkpoint and an officer escorted my wife to a private room with our two cats. My wife removed one cat at a time from the carriers and the TSA officers took each empty carrier out of the private room and x-rayed them. There were no issues and after our cats were loaded back into the carriers in the private room, we were on our way to the Admiral's Club and then our gate Our cats seemed content in them during the 5 1/2 hour flight and the 6 hour drive the next day. We flew in Premium Class seats 7A and 7B on a 737-9 MAX and I had no problem in the window seat placing a pet carrier under the seat with the short side facing me. The middle seat required the pet carrier to be placed under the seat with the long side facing my wife, but it still fit, albeit with limited legroom for her. After we arrived in Arizona, we have been using these carriers to drive our cats around and they seem happy with them. No issues at all with the zippers or the security fasteners. I'm so glad our flight and cross-country drive with our cats went smoothly, and these carriers had a lot to do with it. We highly recommend these cats for those flying on Alaska Airlines or other airlines with similar size restrictions for in-cabin pet carriers. The carriers we received were well made with no quality issues.

Great quality! Comfortable. Lots of room for my 11 lbs Shih Tzu. It’s also the right size for our United Airline flight.

I was having an impossible time trying to find a carrier that fit air canadas plane specific regulations while also trying to keep my cats comfy for a 14 hour flight and thankfully I came across this carrier. Both cats fit comfortably in it and can stand up and turn around. The one in the photo is 14lbs and my other one is 19lbs and both are happy with it. I don’t travel until feb but I’ll post an update with how well it travels.
