Wii Enthusiast or Not, this is the adapter to go for!
In short, this adapter is easily the all-round perfect solution for anyone looking to get a Wii up and running on a modern (likely 4K) TV right now. But if like me, you’re a bit more interested in the details, I’ve got you covered! Otherwise, just buy this one. It’s fantastic! :) YES, even for those who care about getting the best image quality, without spending lots on an ElectronWarp or even MayFlash’s Wii2HDMI, it’s a rock solid performance and for this price, you’re not getting anything that provides such a clean image out of the box, even for a majority of Wii enthusiasts who want to get the most quality image, this is probably 95% as good as those more expensive offerings. It’s reasonably built but that’s not a huge deal if it’s going to be plugged in to your Wii constantly of course, it feels better built than a generic Wii2HDMI though which is always assuring. If there is even a smidge of input lag, I just cannot feel it. I can also speak to the great audio quality I’m getting from it, I could immediately tell the difference through my soundbar between this and a cheap generic Wii2HDMI which means it’s money well spent in my view. All I can recommend is that you do not use the included cable, I have not tried it myself but heard from multiple other owners of this same adapter that it causes issues, so just grab an HDMI cable from something else and you’re good to go. Do make sure your TV is set to Game Mode for the lowest and most ideal latency. You may also get a 4:3 image output initially when using this adapter for the first time despite the Wii being set to 16:9, so play around with your TV’s picture zoom settings if this is the case and make sure it stretches it back out to 16:9. I am not sure if the black and white ones are the exact same model but just for reference I have the white one and recommend it just so you know you’re 100% getting the same adapter. All in all a fantastic product, regardless of whether you’ve just dusted your Wii off and want to play some Wii Sports for old times’ sake, or you’re as in love with your Wii as me and want to get better image quality out of it than a generic Wii2HDMI can achieve, this is the one to go for!

Just swap out the given HDMI
Picked this up after watching a couple comparison reviews and I'm pretty happy with my purchase. The product works as described and I didn't notice any upscaling issues to my smart tv. The process is simple and the image is surprisingly clear. The only note i have is that there are minimal white spaces when using the HDMI provided but I swapped that out with my switch HDMI cord and they complete went away. Easy fix but can be annoying if you don't have one

Works great
So i picked this one because the nintendo socket end was short and on a flexible cable, a bunch were solid blocks that wouldn't fit in the space i had. There was some advice about using 480p vs i in settings but i guess i had it 480p already. Use to use a component cable but new tv needs hdmi. This was cheap, worked right away, hasn't broken with my wedging it into a tiny space and it looks as good as 480p on a 4k tv is gonna look. I can't remember the last time i used my wii but love that i still can.

Looks great, no audio buzz either!
Fantastic. Went from using a generic RCA to HDMI converter, (which made most of the sound come out nasty and static-y) to this. Works exactly as it should, picture quality and colour looks vibrant, and the sound is immaculate (The Aux port isn't needed for sound.).

Alright until it broke
When I got it, the adapter worked really well and seemed well built. After a few months however the sound began to cut out frequently, so it seems that this adapter is as much a dud as the terrible Wii2HDMI adapters.

Exactly what I needed
I have a modern smart TV which doesn't accept the old av (red, white and yellow) connections. This means that I have to use a hdmi converter to play my retro video games consoles. I had a partial solution to this as i had bought a hdmi converter previously which works for most old consoles but wasn't able to display games with 60hz only output (the screen flickers uncontrollably) . This means that games like Metroid Prime 2 Echoes and zelda collection wouldn't play on my TV. I had to set my Wii to display at 50hz only and the 3rd option after 60hz was all greyed out. I also noticed that the screen was a little blurry and not as crisp as you'd want. I then tried a converter that was specifically for the Wii however it just displayed a green screen. After months I finally decided to give this one a shot and as soon as I booted up the Wii I was very surprised. Not only was the screen displaying colour it was much, much more crisp and clean compared to what it was before. I immediately went to display options to test 60hz and to my surprise all three options were available (non greyed out). I clicked on 60hz first and hoped that it would work and it absolutely did. Even the third option works perfectly! I have since tested Metroid Prime 2 Echoes (a 60hz only game) and an happy that it runs smoothly. It even let's me play games that I was playing before with improved nicer visuals. I am a very happy bunny.

Works great. Connects to the Wii AV port just fine and allows you to enable 480p. For the record, I'm not using the included HDMI cable. I didn't even try it, honestly. I prefer it to those blocks you stick on the back due to the added flexibility.

Funktioniert wirklich hervorragend! Was will man mehr.
