I bought this Etekcity Digital Scale because my old one (a trusty analog from 1998) was clearly lying to me. This new sleek, tempered glass beauty arrived fast, and I was excited. It’s light, easy to store, and Incredibly easy to read thanks to the big backlight. Setup was literally: 1. Put on floor. 2. Step on. 3. Cry. I love that it works instantly and requires no tapping. It is far too eager to tell me that that "small slice of pizza" I had at 10 PM was actually 3,000 calories. Pros: High Quality & Sleek: Makes my bathroom feel like a spa, right before I wreck the spa vibe with my presence. Insanely Accurate: It seems this device has no concept of "holiday weight" or "maybe it's muscle". Easy to Read: The blue backlight makes the awful numbers look super clear, even in the dark. Cons: It tells the truth. Why, Etekcity? Why? Bottom Line: If you want a fantastic, durable, fast-operating scale that will shame you into a healthier lifestyle, buy this one. 10/10

This was a very good purchase. It was boxed very protectively; worked as directed; gave an accurate reading, as far as I can tell; this is my very first body weight scale, and I can say, not only is it elegant to see and use, but it also has contemporary styling that make it inviting to use! And it can accommodate big feet! I was hesitant at first, how can something this inexpensive work the way it does. Very surprising and I'm glad I made the purchase! A very good buy!! Thank you Amazon for featuring a very good product! Size and usefulness is what you want from a bathroom scale to "speak" the truth!

This is a very good, accurate but basic scale at a good price. If you're looking for a device that just tells you your weight, this is good buy. I personally like how large the platform is. It fits my size 14-15 feet well. The numbers are large and easily read. Setup is straight forward and it comes with batteries installed already. Just remove the film to connect the batteries. It has a high weight limit too if that's important or needed. I have it setup in my bathroom so I can weigh myself every morning.

This is, for the most part, a great scale and works well and accurately. The only real problem I have with it, and the reason for four stars instead of five, is that it appears to have a lot of problems getting my heart rate. I have tried to determine what might be the cause, but whether my feet are warm or cold, heart rate is high or low, placement of feet on scale, etc., there seems to be no rhyme or reason as whether or not I will get a reading. The scale appears to be able to get all other information from its scans. Fortunately, I have an Apple watch, so I know what my heart rate is before stepping on the scale, but for anyone who might want to rely on the scale for heart rate information, they may want to take this into consideration.

I am very happy with the use, performance, and appearance of this scale. It is a very first-class device at a very attractive price. Unlike my older unit with a LCD display this one doesn't seem to be affected by being cold in the morning before the house warms up. The old unit would not display all its digits; this one seems to have no issues. I like the fact that it uses AA batteries instead of the button batteries that are much more expensive. One caveat that is my fault but worth noting - the first time I pulled the little insulating plastic out of the batteries so the unit would work, I didn't latch the battery compartment properly and when I weighed myself the first time, I snapped off the little catch holding the cover over the battery compartment. I have it taped shut at this point, and it doesn't affect the performance of the scale, but it was a stupid mistake on my part - the cover must be securely fitted and the tab fully "clicked" into place before standing on the scale. There isn't space under the scale to accommodate an open battery door. That is definitely not the fault of the scale. When you stand on the scale, it initially hunts a bit then flashes the weight three times once all has settled down. That's a very nice feature allowing you to read the weight without the scale constantly "hunting". It's still pretty new, but I expect a long life for this unit.
