Lights came neatly packaged and on time. I'm impressed with the quality of the cable and overall product. It's VERY thick and clearly designed for outside. The on/off switch is covered in clear rubber though there is no timer (wasn't advertised having one either). I read the reviews and people had issues with dead bulbs or lights but one person mentioned that the bulb sometimes don't contact the tab in the socket so before installing them I lifted the tab in each socket a small amount with a butter knife and everything contacts great now, all lights work and they do not get hot at all. The lights themselves seem really bright, enough so that I can't use them at night without pissing off the neighbors. My setup is for my tomatoes and peppers which are planted in a raised bed that gets filtered sun/partial shade for parts of the day. I hung these to supplement the sun but jury is out of this enough light to make a difference. I noticed it said there are 41 inches between bulbs but it's actually exactly 39 inches which honestly doesn't matter. The lights have a small loop above each bulb to hang them and the connectors are solid and covered with clear rubber where things need to be waterproof. Awesome lights and I'm very happy. These look and feel professional and are definitely NOT cheap overseas knockoffs. Will likely buy another string of it's not enough light to offset the partial shade for my tomatoes. If I had to list a negative, I really have to stretch.. While the bulbs seem really bright it looks like they could have squeezed more LEDs in each bulb but I'm also not an expert on LED technology. Also would be nice if they offered red/blue LED bulbs but that's really nit picking. Will update my review down the road after a rain or when I get results on whether or not it can offset shade on the one tomato bed using these on.

When you screw in the light bulbs they must be all the way in or the unit will not turn on! There should be no white part on the light bulb showing -- this is part of the waterproof feature. If you unscrew the bulbs and reinsert several times, each time using a little more gentle but steady pressure, the lip of the light bulb socket will stretch just a bit and the bulb will insert fully. This will complete the waterproof seal and the bulbs will turn on now! Simple -- but not quite like a regular light bulb -- repeat screwing light bulb until there is no white part showing! Very good product -- great customer service. Happy I found these!!

Good grow lights and heavy duty. Lighting is sufficient to grow in a greenhouse.

they are built well enough and def worth the cheap price. Be careful screwing in the bulbs though, there is no stop strip in the bulb well so continuing to screw will push the bulbs electrical node into self and break. had to super glue it back to itself, lucky save is all. otherwise very well made and easily adjustable for lengths if you got a couple zip ties.

We bought a few sets of these. Whether indoor (greenhouse) or outdoor (garden cages, most have failed over two years. As an electrical engineer, I looked into the failures. For about 1/2, the plastic protective cover fell off. For those that retained their covers or did not, the lights first flickered, then totally failed. Opening them up, it was always the same - the LED's themselves are 100% fine. The shoddy electronics (drives the LED's from household 110V AC power) failed completely. The amazing durability of LED's for lighting is typically spoiled by corner-cutting, cheap, garbage electronics. Do not buy these.

I decided to put in a raised garden this year. In the spring my garden doesn't get sun until noonish for a few hours so I decided to help my veggies with this garden string lights. So, the bulbs come separated from the string in the package. When I screwed the bulbs in, it didn't turn on. So, I checked the outlet and it was working. I unscrewed all the bulbs and inside the socket there is a little metal flap that I assume was too short to make the connection with the bulb (make sure string is unplugged). I used my finger and very gently lifted it up just a smidge. Placed all the bulbs back and voila. The cord between the lights was a bit long for me, so I coiled it and used zip ties. Love them so far.

So far the lights are working great - they were easy to install and I had no problem with the bulbs lighting up as some have mentioned - I just made sure the bulbs were well seated in the socket per the instructions. The cable is thick and looks to be of good quality. The customer service is outstanding - when I received the grow lights one of the bulbs was damaged at the base. I contacted Espird customer service and described the problem plus provided them with a picture of the damaged bulb. They got back to me right a way, apologized for the inconvenience, and promptly sent me 2 replacement bulbs. I can't yet say how well they will work with the plants since I just installed them - but it looks like the plants are receiving plenty of light. I installed these in a 12 foot by 9 foot greenhouse and they sure light up the interior. So far I'm very pleased with this purchase.

We have difficulty doing any type of gardening due to a lack of sunlight in our back yard. We made a small vegetable garden and while the plants grew and flowered, we were not getting any veggies. We purchased these lights to help and they are doing the job. They were easy to set up and worked fine. They give off nice bright light. "Baby-sized" veggies have started to bloom. Thanks for helping us make our garden come to life and BTW they are waterproof.
