After School HAM Radio Club
I have concluded AMAZON is a great place to buy all the components we need for our after-school HAM Radio Club. This is one of many components I've purchased so each student can assemble and tune up their DIY UHF/VHF antenna. Once they pass their TECHNICIAN exam, they are free to take their antenna along with the HAM radio our sponsors have purchased to recognized their achievement. We used these welding rods for both the driven and ground plane radials - worked surprisingly well.

Works great for the amount of money

Good rod
This is the workhorse TIG filler rod in my shop. I've made a few medium-size projects using it: industrial table bases, steel gates, posts with mounting plates and barbecues. No cracking or porosity or unexpected behavior/flow. That's all I can ask for from mild filler rod.
