Great gift for my 5 year old!

I got this magic kit for my six year old and she loved it! The cape is really nice, much better than a regular dress up toy, and she loved that it came with a hat. The only thing that I docked it points for is that the instructions are not written very clearly so it takes a bit of trial and error to figure out the tricks. We haven't mastered all of them, and there is one with a spinning top that doesn't seem to work right, but on the whole I think the tricks included in this kit are more exciting than other kits geared to young kids.

Great quality items. I really liked the cape because it is double sided red & black. The hat fit my son but the white gloves were too big so we had adjust them my cutting off the extra material and sowing. He loved everything in the box but some instructions were too difficult for him to read and understand how to successfully complete the trick. Parents, be prepared to assist your child.

I bought this for my stage show that I do weekly at the local nursing home. To say that I am a talented musician is an understatement. I bring tears to the eyes of elderly people on a weekly basis. They weep for my sheer talent and greatness. There aren't a lot of truly talented musicians around anymore. But, I am one of them. I was mortified when I brought out this box of trinkets meant for a child or at the very very least a very doofy and incapable musician. I tried to hold it together for my elderly audience but alas I could not. They turned on me. Have you ever been hit in the head with a pair of porcelain dentures? Well thanks to this box of useless stuff, I have. They were hurled at me by a 95 year old woman in a wheelchair from 12 feet away. Me....one of the last great musicians embarrassed and harassed by a group of geriatrics. Oh, and the cape is way too short for an adult. I looked like a little person who had started taking growth hormone.

Our grandson loves this birthday gift. Lots of fun!

This was a present for our 7-year-old grandson who is always using our hats to pull "something" out of. A big reason I chose this set is the cape and gloves that came with it--which he promptly put on and kept on throughout the day. The only issue that we had was a "personnel" issue--he "fired" his cousin from being his assistant becausee the cousin wanted to know the secret to the tricks. Of course, a magician never divulges his secrets. It was an interesting learning moment to settle the conflict between the two :)
