A really good cycling jacket
This is a really good cycling jacket, especially for the price. I commute daily 20 miles year-round in Chicago. This jacket is true to size, fits well (not too tight or bulky), well made and looks good, has excellent windbreaking and very good waterproofing. I use it as my standard outer layer in spring and fall for windbreaking and rain (it's a single layer inside, no netting, but breathes well), and have come to use it in very cold weather as my outer shell, as it fits well over a standard biking coat. Pocket well placed and right size, zippers work well, hood well designed, has held up well to wear and tear so far. Very pleased with this purchase.

Excellent running/walking jacket that stands out!
Love this windbreaker... lots of pockets and good hood. Have worn it multiple times while running to cut the wind and protect against rain. Very visible jacket so vehicles can see you when running across roadways. Also used it during walks... light and bright... just get this.

NICE JACKET, BUT GAPES AT THE COLLAR!
This is a very good, lightweight rain jacket in appearance, but haven't yet used it, so can't attest to its waterproof quality. Small fits me pretty well, considering I'm only 5' 1.5", 120 pounds. It has a textured, clothlike feel on the outside, with a PVC/plastic lining, to repel water, of course. All the zippers work well, with 3 zip pockets on the outside front, and 1 large on the back, which also acts as a storage compartment for easy packing and transport. Additionally, It has 2 large inner pockets, and 1 small one. The hood is huge, as it's designed to accommodate bike helmets and/or maybe other head gear, so that's very understandable. It does, however, have a drawstring in the back to shrink it, which works well, even for my rather small head. Additionally, you can roll the hood into a collar, when you're not using it, with the attached velcro closures included. However, the rolled hood causes the front to gape unnaturally on the right side (see the photo, right side) because the placement of the velcro designed to retain it is too high on the back of the jacket to roll the hood tightly. They should either place it lower or make the strip on the hood, or the back, much longer, for adjustability. I bought this for a trip to Israel. There's probably not a lot of rain there, but don't want to get caught outside, on a tour, without protection. I find this jacket good, overall, except for the gape issue mentioned above, which prevents me from wearing it in my daily life, as it looks so bad. I'll just keep it for a packable on excursions for emergent, inclimate weather. Now if it only keeps out the rain, as it claims, is my only remaining question.

This kept uncle dry so he wouldn't melt in the rain.
I was just planning for the upcoming wet weather coming my way and found this. I've had Baleaf products before so I was aware of the good quality I was getting. Well, I had two days in a row of downpours and this jacket kept me dry. I love the air vent on the back which kept the sweating down to a minimum. There are also pockets everywhere to carry anything from keys to cell phones. I am on the light side of a medium build and this fits perfectly with room for layers underneath.

Great jacket for cold, windy, rainy/snowy weather
Bought this for running. Have worn it in a light rain, and in heavy snow, and on some cold windy mornings and it's been great. I usually run pre-dawn, so the many reflective portions are great to have. This is truly a water/rain resistant jacket, and a great windbreaker as well. I recently ran for over 2 hours/13 miles in blowing snow and wind chills in the low teens/upper singles (F) and was never cold nor did any moisture get in. One of my favorite pieces of running gear now. Makes me hope to have some rainy mornings to run!

Great all around rain jacket for cycling
This jacket works well for intermediate and cooler weather rain. The cut is good for the cycling reach, and seals well to keep the weather out. The seams, zippers and good pockets for cycling gear. It the jacket I grab if I’m going to be in the weather for extended periods of time.

Super quality at an incredibly low price
Quality as good as the prestige brands at a fraction of the cost. XL fits perfectly with enough room to layer over fleece and room to move.

Pros and Cons.
What I liked: Very visible color. Feels like it will be very rainproof and windproof. Hood tucks into its own velcro compartment if you dont need it and dont want it hanging out. This brand is pretty good on quality. I've owned riding gear from Baleaf before, and it's been durable and reliable. I have a pair of Baleaf rain overpants that I purchased in 2006 that I still wear sometimes, although my wife had to resew part of it and one of the leg zippers failed they still do the job. What I wasnt fond of: Size ran just small/slim enough to be annoying. I am a 44" chest, with a 34" waist, by the chart I am at the top end of a Large, but I should have just ordered the XL. There is some pulling at my armpits and shoulders and the elastic waistband eventually pushes the bottom of the jacket to where it's riding up past my belt. If youre anywhere near the in-between of 2 sizes, just order the bigger one. This jacket has the comfort-feel of a raincoat that will repel heavy rain; not necessarily optimal for high performance. That might not be a dealbreaker for some, but I was accustomed to a different kind of riding windbreaker when I bought this.

Only a 2 layer jacket. Not appropriate for heavy downpours.
