I love this stuff

First off let me say I’m more than just your average hot food lover. I require EXTREME heat to enjoy my experience. I want to tremble and sweat and go through the motions.. eating high levels of heat every day has me unfazed by what would traumatize most people. Anyway, I struggle to find hot sauces that are naturally hot and not tampered with by added chemical capsaicin additives. Capsaicin additives are so obvious when they are in the hot sauces, they add no flavor but ridiculous burning heat. These adulterated hot sauces usually are 1-2/10 on the flavor scale and a buildable 9 /10 on the heat the scale and I hate that. I like hot sauces for the amazing exotic pepper flavors, it’s a culinary experience for me, and it elevates my meals with the added benefit of that endorphin activating body high. I can say that all of these sauces have my flavor approval. They are all good, even though the xxx reserve isn’t my favorite because I’m just not a fan of habanero peppers, the flavor of habaneros are very distinct and IMO hot sauces with them don’t mesh well on other food, but I actually will still use this because it’s not as bad, but it’s not as hot as I like. Xxx reserve: as another commenter said (who was SPOT ON, brother is a real spicehead) this is the lowest heat level, 5/10 on the heat scale. Naga Jolokia: very agreeable flavor, no outstanding discernible exotic pepper flavors but I mean this in a good way. If you are used to trying different hot sauces you know what mean — it’s a 8/10 on the flavor scale, super smooth and uniform flavor. Disappointed by the heat level. A lousy 6.5/10 on heat scale. The heat level washes away with every bite, No longevity… this would be good on a plain food profile like white rice or eggs but other than that, nothing to write home about. Again, disappointed by the heat but not by the flavor, it’s great for mixing in to foods to increase the kick. Lastly the Trinidad Moruga Scorpion, the saving grace of this box. As this was my final bottle to test on a tortilla chip, I put a healthy blob of this on with low expectation. Within barely 1 second of chewing, the capsaicin’s heat reached the back of my throat then gradually traveled up my tongue and mouth. Winner! It’s good, not the 911 praying for gods mercy hot that I wanted, but spicy enough for me to make this my new go to. On the heat scale it’s a 7.5/10. The flavor: aaahhhh bbbblissful. 10/10 on flavor scale. Peppery, fruity (not in the sweet way) and exotic, soooo delicious. So agreeable on anything it’s put on. The big brother hot sauce of Melinda’s of Naga Jolokia sauce. I love this one, wish the whole box was this flavor. but for $5 a bottle, they’re cheaper off Amazon and I replenished my supply of hot sauces and they actually all taste good. I also liked that there’s no sweet flavor in any of these or scary, off putting nasty flavors. Traditional, tangy hot sauce. These are in the bottles that have the little plastic opening to control how much you use but they are all too thick for it to be practical, I popped them all off and it was such a better experience. In the end, my search will continue, but I love this moruga pepper sauce. The average hot lover would adore these sauces, I wouldn’t give them to kids at all. For myself, I have a taste for heart stopping, burning heat. Dave’s hot sauce insanity 3 pack may be my next purchase.

Good Stuff can live without it; I go through three bottles every other month.
