Don’t miss one of America’s top 100 most-loved novels, selected by PBS’s The Great American Read. This beloved book by E. B. White, author of Stuart Little and The Trumpet of the Swan , is a classic of children's literature that is "just about perfect." This paper-over-board edition includes a foreword by two-time Newbery winning author Kate DiCamillo. Some Pig. Humble. Radiant. These are the words in Charlotte's Web, high up in Zuckerman's barn. Charlotte's spiderweb tells of her feelings for a little pig named Wilbur, who simply wants a friend. They also express the love of a girl named Fern, who saved Wilbur's life when he was born the runt of his litter. E. B. White's Newbery Honor Book is a tender novel of friendship, love, life, and death that will continue to be enjoyed by generations to come. It contains illustrations by Garth Williams, the acclaimed illustrator of E. B. White's Stuart Little and Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House series, among many other books. Whether enjoyed in the classroom or for homeschooling or independent reading, Charlotte's Web is a proven favorite. Review: Classic story with excellent hardcover quality - Charlotte’s Web is a great book and was a wonderful purchase for my son. The story is timeless, meaningful, and easy for kids to connect with, which makes it a great addition to any child’s bookshelf. The hardcover quality is also excellent, sturdy, well-made, and durable enough to last through plenty of reading and school use. Overall: a classic book with a high-quality hardcover edition that’s perfect for both school and home reading. Review: Good plot, great story! - I love this book. This is a sweet book for adults in addition to kids….better than the movie — i am 85 and enjoyed a sweet book instead of books about the dysfunction of our culture…!!!

Great Story and Great Quality Book
Product Review: Charlotte's Web by E.B. White Charlotte's Web is a timeless classic that masterfully blends heartwarming storytelling with profound life lessons. E.B. White’s charming tale of friendship, kindness, and the circle of life continues to resonate with readers of all ages. The story centers on Wilbur, a runt pig saved from slaughter by a compassionate young girl named Fern, and his unlikely friendship with Charlotte, a wise and kind-hearted spider. Charlotte’s ingenuity and unwavering dedication to saving Wilbur form the emotional core of the book, showcasing the power of selflessness and loyalty. White's prose is simple yet poetic, making it accessible to younger readers while still carrying a depth that adults can appreciate. The book’s rural farm setting is vividly described, transporting readers into a world filled with wonder, innocence, and the bittersweet realities of life. Garth Williams’ illustrations add another layer of charm, capturing the warmth and emotional nuance of the story. Each character—from the playful Wilbur to the grouchy yet lovable Templeton the rat—is beautifully fleshed out, making the barnyard come alive. One of the most striking aspects of Charlotte’s Web is its ability to address complex themes like mortality and the passage of time in a gentle and thoughtful manner. It offers an opportunity for meaningful discussions with children about life’s joys and sorrows. Overall, Charlotte’s Web is more than just a children’s book—it’s a work of art that celebrates the beauty of friendship, the courage to stand by loved ones, and the fleeting yet precious nature of life. Whether you're revisiting it as an adult or sharing it with a new generation, this book is a treasure that belongs on every bookshelf.

Classic book for young readers
Bought this book for my nephew’s son. His son is fascinated with books at a very young age. He loves it when you read to him. I will be adding to his book collection. He is only two right now. It was nicely priced and will continue to search for books for this youngster.

Classics are classics for a reason
I hadn’t read this since I was a child, yet I never forgot the story. So I decided to read it to my children, who are almost 8. It’s happy, sad, full of love, and deals with the cycle of life and the meaning of true loyalty. I hope my children will someday read it to their children, so the cycle continues.

Heartfelt freindships
Charlotte's Web is a timeless classic that warms hearts with its tale of friendship, loss, and the circle of life. Wilbur and Charlotte’s bond is the stuff of legend. Who doesn’t need a friend like that? 🐖 Timeless themes of friendship, loss, and the circle of life — it tackles big feels in a way kids and adults get 💭 Simple yet profound writing: E.B. White’s words are like a warm hug. Remember “Some Pig”? 😊 No villains, just life: It’s honest about tough stuff (like loss) without being scary or preachy Nostalgia: It’s a cozy throwback for many, and still hits for new readers.
