My friends can only hear me through the computer and not the mic I have the legion 7i is this because windows 11 does not work with this headset?

I have Windows 11, and the headset works just fine! I would suggest going into setting and clicking on sound and making sure your Mic and headset both say Legion H500 Pro. You may have to go a step further in your web browser or app setting!

can i use this microphone with ps4 controller and still mute microphone ?

If you are using the USB for audio from the PS4 controller and it provides power via the USB plug, then mute function should work.

Does the surround sound work with the 3.5mm jack? The pictures and description indicate that it only works with the usb switch.

No ... The USB must be used due to the powering of the 7.1 audio dongle where the 3.5 mm jack is plugged in.
