How long is this vest

I am 5'7" and the vest comes to about mid hip.

Do the side pockets of this Columbia vest have zippers

Yes- pockets are a good size as well for keys and small coin purse.

what is the center back length?

On my 3X it is 26" from base of collar to base of hem.

I'm 5'1 and weight 135, what would be a good size the small or medium

It sort of depends on how loose you want it to be. I'm 5'4" and weigh 138 and I bought size medium. I don't like my clothes tight and the medium is perfect.
